After teaming up with Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for Talbots’ Spring 2011 campaign, Julianne Moore is back for an encore engagement.
This time around the flame-haired actress poses for photographer David Sims in the retailer’s “cinematic” Fall 2011 shoot inspired by ’40s- and ’50s-era Hollywood glamour.
Not surprisingly, the frequent Oscar nominee has no trouble getting into character. One striking shot sees her in a chic camel coat paired with ruby heels, while another has her playfully rocking her red waves back as she sports a brown herringbone suit, wide-brimmed hat, and black leather tote.
“Julianne Moore embodies the true essence of the Talbots’ brand platform,” Talbots CEO Michael Smaldone says in a press statement. “She is a classic beauty who is an extraordinary actress, mother, author, and a true modern woman.”
Set to break in the September and October magazines, the striking ads also bear “We Believe” taglines, such as “We believe that charm is the best accessory.”
